अयं च प्रत्यय: कर्णे शक्तिश्चलामितविक्रमा । किमर्थ सूतपुत्रेण न मुक्ता फाल्गुने तु सा

പ്രഭോ! കര്‍ണന് ആ ശക്തിയുടെ പ്രഭാവത്തില് വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അമിത പരാക്രമം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആ ദിവ്യശക്തി അവന്റെ കൈയില് തന്നെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും, സൂതപുത്രന് അത് ഫാല്‍ഗുനനായ അര്‍ജുനനില് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് പ്രയോഗിച്ചില്ല?
