महत्या सेनया सार्ध ततो युद्धमवर्तत । इसी प्रकार आपके पुत्रोंने भी विशाल सेनाके साथ आकर द्विजश्रेष्ठ कृपाचार्यको अपने बीचमें कर लिया। फिर दोनों दलोंमें घोर युद्ध होने लगा

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതിനുശേഷം മഹാസേനയോടുകൂടി യുദ്ധം ആരംഭിച്ചു. അതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വലിയ സൈന്യവുമായി വന്ന്, ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ കൃപാചാര്യനെ തങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ നിർത്തി; തുടർന്ന് ഇരുപക്ഷങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ ഘോരയുദ്ധം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
