तच्छुत्वा वचन तस्य भीमस्यामितविक्रम: । ततोअर्जुनो5ब्रवीत् कर्ण किंचिदभ्येत्य संयुगे,भीमसेनका यह वचन सुनकर अमित पराक्रमी अर्जुन युद्धस्थलमें कर्णके कुछ निकट जाकर उससे इस प्रकार बोले--
tac chrutvā vacanaṁ tasya bhīmasyāmitavikramaḥ | tato 'rjuno 'bravīt karṇaṁ kiñcid abhyetya saṁyuge ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭീമന്റെ ആ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ, അപാരവിക്രമനായ അർജുനൻ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ കർണനോട് അല്പം അടുത്തുചെന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു.
