anvāgataṁ vṛṣṇivīraṁ samīkṣya tathārimadhye parivartamānam | ghnantaṁ kurūṇām iṣubhir balāni punaḥ punaḥ vāyum ivābhrabhūgān ||
വൃഷ്ണിവീരനായ സാത്യകി അവിടെ എത്തിയതും ശത്രുമദ്ധ്യേ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും അമ്പുകളാൽ കുരുസേനാബലങ്ങളെ തകർക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടപ്പോൾ—കാറ്റ് മേഘക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെ ആവർത്തിച്ച് ചിതറിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ—ദുശ്ശാസനനെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തി ദുര്യോധനന്റെ പ്രധാന യോദ്ധാക്കൾ ഒരുമിച്ച് വേഗത്തിൽ അവനെ വളയാൻ പാഞ്ഞെത്തി।
