Droṇa-parva 139
विलपंश्च बहु क्षत्ता शमं नालभत त्वयि । सपुत्रो भरतश्रेष्ठ तस्य भुड्क्ष्य फलोदयम्
vilapaṁś ca bahu kṣattā śamaṁ nālabhata tvayi | saputro bharataśreṣṭha tasya bhukṣya phalodayam ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ക്ഷത്താ വിദുരൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ സമീപത്ത് ഏറെ വിലപിച്ചെങ്കിലും, നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ശമം (ശാന്തി) ലഭിച്ചില്ല। ആ അന്യായത്തിന്റെ ഫലമാണ് ഇത് പാകമായത്; ഇനി പുത്രന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അതിന്റെ ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കൂ।
