sañjaya uvāca | evam uktvārjunaṃ rājā tribhir marmātigaiḥ śaraiḥ | abhyavidhyan mahāvegaiś caturbhiś caturaḥ hayān ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! അർജുനനോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം രാജാവ് ദുര്യോധനൻ അതിവേഗമുള്ള മൂന്ന് മർമ്മഭേദക ശരങ്ങളാൽ അവനെ കുത്തിവെച്ചു; പിന്നെ നാല് ശക്തമായ അമ്പുകളാൽ അർജുനന്റെ നാല് കുതിരകളെയും പരിക്കേൽപ്പിച്ചു.
संजय उवाच
