मुक्तकेशा विकवचा विरथाश्शकछिन्नकार्मुका: । बाहुभि: समयुध्यन्त सूंजया: कुरुभि: सह
muktakeśā vikavacā virathāś chinna-kārmukāḥ | bāhubhiḥ samayudhyanta sūñjayāḥ kurubhiḥ saha ||
പല സൃഞ്ജയ വീരന്മാർ—മുടി അഴിച്ചുവിട്ട്, കവചമില്ലാതെ, രഥമില്ലാതെ, വില്ല് മുറിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം—കൗരവരോടൊപ്പം വെറും ഭുജബലത്തിൽ കൈയാങ്കളിയായി പോരാടുകയായിരുന്നു.
