tato 'nyad dhanur ādāya bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavo yudhi

Translation

അപ്പോൾ യുദ്ധമദ്ധ്യേ ശാന്തനുപുത്രൻ ഭീഷ്മൻ മറ്റൊരു വില്ലെടുത്തു; ക്ഷത്രിയധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ കഠിന ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലും അചഞ്ചല നിശ്ചയത്തോടെ പോരാട്ടം തുടർന്നു.
