आजलपश्ने भरतश्रेष्स्त्रिभि: संनतपर्वभि: । उस समरभूमिमें आपके पिता भरतश्रेष्ठ भीष्मने झुकी हुई गाँठवाले तीन बाणोंसे अभिमन्युको चोट पहुँचायी
sañjaya uvāca | asmin samara-bhūmau tava pitā bharataśreṣṭho bhīṣmaḥ tribhiḥ sannata-parvabhiḥ bāṇaiḥ abhimanyum ājaghāna |
ആ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ഭാരതശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ പിതാമഹൻ ഭീഷ്മൻ വളഞ്ഞ കണികകളുള്ള മൂന്ന് അമ്പുകളാൽ അഭിമന്യുവിനെ പരിക്കേൽപ്പിച്ചു.
