Droṇa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna-yuddha (द्रोण-धृष्टद्युम्न-युद्धम्) — Tactical duel and allied interventions
तावन्योन्यं समासाद्य समरे युद्धदुर्मदौ । त्रासयेतां शरैघोरै: कृतप्रतिकृतेषिणा
tāv anyonyaṃ samāsādya samare yuddha-durmadau | trāsayetāṃ śaraiḥ ghoraiḥ kṛta-pratikṛteṣiṇau ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധമദത്തിൽ മത്തായ ആ ഇരുവരും സമരത്തിൽ പരസ്പരം ഏറ്റുമുട്ടി; മുൻകൃത അപരാധങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതികാരം തേടി, ഭീകരമായ അമ്പുകളാൽ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ ഭീതിയുണർത്താൻ തുടങ്ങി।
