Nirmaryāda-saṃgrāma-varṇana — The Unbounded Clash and Bhīṣma’s Rallying Presence
काममाश्रित्य दुष्पूरं दम्भभानमदान्विता: । मोहाद गृहीत्वासदग्राहान् प्रवर्तन्तेडशुचिव्रता:
kāmam āśritya duṣpūraṁ dambha-māna-madānvitāḥ | mohād gṛhītvā sad-agrāhān pravartante 'śuci-vratāḥ ||
ദംഭം, മാനം, മദം എന്നിവകൊണ്ട് നിറഞ്ഞവർ ഒരിക്കലും നിറയാത്ത ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു. മോഹവശാൽ അസത്യസിദ്ധാന്തങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി, അശുദ്ധവും ഭ്രഷ്ടവുമായ വ്രതാചാരങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചു, അവർ ലോകത്ത് അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ അലഞ്ഞുതിരിയുന്നു.
