उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
पड्चाशदपि ये शूरा मृद्गन्ति महतीं चमूम् । अपि वा पज्च षट् सप्त विजयन्त्यनिवर्तिन:
pañcāśad api ye śūrā mṛdnanti mahatīṃ camūm | api vā pañca ṣaṭ sapta vijayanti anivartinaḥ ||
അമ്പത് ശൂരന്മാർ പോലും മഹാസൈന്യത്തെ ചവിട്ടിത്തകർക്കും; പിന്നോട്ടു മടങ്ങാത്ത അഞ്ചോ ആറോ ഏഴോ യോദ്ധാക്കൾ മാത്രമായാലും അവർ ഉറപ്പായി ജയിക്കും।
