उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents

हृष्टा वाचस्तथा सत्त्वं योधानां यत्र भारत । न म्लायन्ति स्रजश्नैव ते तरन्ति रणोदधिम्‌

hṛṣṭā vācastathā sattvaṁ yodhānāṁ yatra bhārata | na mlāyanti srajaś caiva te taranti raṇodadhim ||

വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ ഭാരതാ, ഏത് പക്ഷത്തിലെ യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ വാക്കുകൾ ഹർഷവും ഉത്സാഹവും നിറഞ്ഞതായിരിക്കുമോ, അവരുടെ ധൈര്യസത്ത്വം പ്രസന്നവും ദൃഢവുമായിരിക്കുമോ, അവരുടെ മാലകൾ പോലും വാടാതിരിക്കുമോ— അവർ യുദ്ധമെന്ന മഹാസമുദ്രം കടന്നുപോകും।
