कृत्तिकां पीडयंस्ती&णैर्नक्षत्रं पृथिवीपते । अभीक्षणवाता वायन्ते धूमकेतुमवस्थिता:

Transliteration

kṛttikāṃ pīḍayaṃstīvrakarmaṇāir nakṣatraṃ pṛthivīpate | abhīkṣṇavātā vāyante dhūmaketum avasthitāḥ ||

Translation

വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പൃഥിവീപതേ! രാഹു കൃത്തികാ നക്ഷത്രത്തെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ധൂമകേതുവെന്ന അപശകുനത്തെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും പ്രചണ്ഡ കാറ്റുകൾ ഉയർന്ന് വീശുന്നു.
