या चैषा विश्रुता राजंस्त्रैलोक्ये साधुसम्मता । अरुन्धती तयाप्येष वसिष्ठ: पृष्ठत: कृत:,“राजन! जो अरुन्धती तीनों लोकोंमें पतिव्रताओंकी मुकुटमणिके रूपमें प्रसिद्ध हैं, उन्होंने वसिष्ठको अपने पीछे कर दिया है

yā caiṣā viśrutā rājan trailokye sādhusammatā | arundhatī tayāpy eṣa vasiṣṭhaḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtaḥ ||

ഹേ രാജാവേ! ത്രിലോകത്തും പ്രസിദ്ധയും സജ്ജനന്മാർ ആദരിക്കുന്നവളുമായ അരുന്ധതിയും തന്റെ മഹിമകൊണ്ട് വസിഷ്ഠനെ പിന്നിലാക്കിയതായി തോന്നുന്നു।
