Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
हयान् गजपदातींश्व रथांश्न तरसा बहून् निमज्जयन्तं समरे परवीरापहारिणम्
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | hayān gajapadātīṁś ca rathāṁś ca tarasā bahūn nimajjayantaṁ samare paravīrāpahāriṇam |
ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ഞാൻ ഭീഷ്മനെ കാണുന്നു; അപ്രതിരോധ്യ വേഗത്തോടെ ശത്രുപക്ഷത്തിന്റെ കുതിരകൾ, ആനകൾ, പടയാളികൾ, അനവധി രഥങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയെ അവൻ যেন മുങ്ങിച്ചമയ്ക്കുന്നു; സമരത്തിൽ പരവീരരുടെ പ്രാണം അപഹരിക്കുന്നവൻ അവൻ തന്നേ.
