व्युपरम्य ततो युद्धाद् योधा: शतसहस्रश: । उपतस्थुर्महात्मानं प्रजापतिमिवामरा:,तदनन्तर लाखों योद्धा युद्धसे विरत होकर जैसे देवता प्रजापतिकी सेवामें उपस्थित होते हैं, उसी प्रकार महात्मा भीष्मके पास आये
vyuparamya tato yuddhād yodhāḥ śatasahasraśaḥ | upatasthur mahātmānaṃ prajāpativ ivāmarāḥ ||
അതിനുശേഷം യുദ്ധം നിർത്തി ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് യോദ്ധാക്കൾ മഹാത്മാവായ ഭീഷ്മന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി—ദേവന്മാർ പ്രജാപതിയെ സേവിക്കാനെത്തുന്നതുപോലെ।
