निवृत्तेषु च सैन्येषु पारम्पर्येण सर्वश: । निर्मुक्तकवचा: सर्वे भीष्ममीयुर्नराधिपा:,बारी-बारीसे सब सेनाओंके युद्धसे निवृत्त हो जाने-पर सब राजा कवच खोलकर भीष्मके पास आये
nivṛtteṣu ca sainyeṣu pāramparyeṇa sarvaśaḥ | nirmuktakavacāḥ sarve bhīṣmam īyur narādhipāḥ ||
സൈന്യങ്ങൾ ക്രമമായി എല്ലായിടത്തും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പിന്മാറിയപ്പോൾ, എല്ലാ രാജാക്കന്മാരും കവചം അഴിച്ച് ഭീഷ്മന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു।
