सह भीष्मेण सर्वेषां प्रापतन् हृदयानि नः । महाराज! महात्मा पितामह भीष्मको रथसे नीचे गिरते देखकर हम सब लोगोंके हृदय भी उनके साथ ही गिर पड़े
saha bhīṣmeṇa sarveṣāṃ prāpatann hṛdayāni naḥ | mahārāja! mahātmā pitāmaha bhīṣmako rathase nīce girate dekhakara hama saba logoṃke hṛdaya bhī unke sātha hī gira paṛe |
മഹാരാജാവേ! മഹാത്മാവായ പിതാമഹൻ ഭീഷ്മൻ രഥത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വീഴുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, ഞങ്ങളൊക്കെയുടെയും ഹൃദയങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ വീണതുപോലെ ആയി. യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ആ പൂജ്യവൃദ്ധന്റെ പതനം ഞങ്ങളുടെ ധൈര്യവും അന്തഃസ്ഥൈര്യവും തകർത്തു; കാരണം അദ്ദേഹം നമ്മുടെ പക്ഷത്തിന്റെ തൂണും ക്ഷാത്രധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ മൂർത്തരൂപവും ആയിരുന്നു.
