Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | sarve yodhāḥ susaṃrabdhā balavanto mahābalāḥ | rājan, tava dhanurdhara-putrasya etāḥ harṣa-bharitāḥ vācaḥ śrutvā te sarve mahābalāḥ śaktimantaś ca yodhā roṣeṇa samapūryanta ||

Translation

ഹേ രാജാവേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ധനുർധരനായ പുത്രന്റെ ആ ആവേശഭരിതവും അഹങ്കാരഭരിതവും ആയ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് എല്ലാ യോദ്ധാക്കളും—ഉഗ്രരും ബലവാന്മാരും മഹാബലികളും—കോപത്തിൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു. അവരിൽ വിദേഹരും കലിംഗരും ദാശേരകഗണവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
