तत्राद्भुतमपश्याम तव पुत्रस्य पौरुषम् । अयोधयच्च यत् पार्थ जुगोप च पितामहम्,उस समय वहाँ हमने आपके पुत्र दुःशासनका अद्भुत पराक्रम देखा! एक तो वह अर्जुनके साथ युद्ध कर रहा था और दूसरे पितामह भीष्मकी रक्षामें भी तत्पर था
tatrādbhutam apaśyāma tava putrasya pauruṣam | ayodhayac ca yat pārtha jugopa ca pitāmaham ||
അപ്പോൾ അവിടെ ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രൻ ദുശ്ശാസനന്റെ അത്ഭുതപരാക്രമം കണ്ടു—ഒരു വശത്ത് അവൻ അർജുനനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു; മറ്റെ വശത്ത് പിതാമഹൻ ഭീഷ്മനെ കാക്കുവാനും ജാഗ്രതയോടെ നിന്നു।
