तथैव पाण्डवा राजन् सैन्येन महता वृता: । भीष्म संछादयामासुर्मेघा इव दिवाकरम्,राजन! फिर विशाल सेनासे घिरे हुए पाण्डवोंने अपने बाणोंद्वारा भीष्मको उसी प्रकार ढक दिया, जैसे बादल सूर्यदेवको आच्छादित कर देते हैं
tathaiva pāṇḍavā rājan sainyena mahatā vṛtāḥ | bhīṣmaṃ saṃchādayāmāsur meghā iva divākaram ||
രാജാവേ! അതുപോലെ മഹാസൈന്യത്താൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ട പാണ്ഡവർ അമ്പുകളുടെ ഘനവർഷംകൊണ്ട് ഭീഷ്മനെ മൂടി—മേഘങ്ങൾ സൂര്യനെ മറയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ।
