भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

प्रहरास्मिन् नरव्याप्र न चेन्मोहाद् विमुहा[से । 'पार्थ! तुम्हें जिस अवसरकी अभिलाषा और प्रतीक्षा थी, वह आ पहुँचा। पुरुषसिंह! यदि तुम मोहसे मोहित नहीं हो रहे हो तो इन भीष्मपर प्रहार करो
sañjaya uvāca | prahārāsmin nara-vyāghra na cen mohād vimūhyase | pārtha! tubhyaṁ yasya avasarasya abhilāṣā ca pratīkṣā ca āsīt sa āgataḥ | puruṣa-siṁha! yadi tvaṁ mohena na mohyase tarhi etān bhīṣmaṁ prati praharā ||
“നരവ്യാഘ്രാ, മോഹത്തിൽ വിറങ്ങലിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ പ്രഹരിക്ക. പാർത്ഥാ, നീ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചും കാത്തിരുന്നും നിന്ന അവസരം എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പുരുഷസിംഹാ, ആശയക്കുഴപ്പത്തിൽ ആകാതെ ഭീഷ്മനോടു പ്രഹാരം ചെയ്യുക.”
