Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
अपश्यस्त्वं तं तदा घोररूपं सर्वे वै त्वां ददृशुर्दर्शनीयम् । यस्माद् भीत: प्राञ्जलिस्त्वं महर्षि- मागच्छेथा: शरणं दानवघ्न
śakra uvāca | apaśyastvaṃ taṃ tadā ghorarūpaṃ sarve vai tvāṃ dadṛśur darśanīyam | yasmād bhītaḥ prāñjalistvaṃ maharṣi-m āgacchethāḥ śaraṇaṃ dānavaghna ||
ദാനവഘ്ന ദേവരാജാ! അന്ന് നീ ആ ഘോരരൂപധാരിയായ ദാനവനെ കണ്ടു; എല്ലാവരും നിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തേക്കും നോക്കി—ഭയത്താൽ നിന്റെ അവസ്ഥ കാണത്തക്കതായിരുന്നു. ആ ദാനവനെ ഭയന്ന്, കൈകൂപ്പി നീ മഹർഷി ച്യവനന്റെ ശരണത്തിലേക്ക് ചെന്നു.
