हतपुत्रा हतबला हतमित्रा मया सह । युयुधानसहायेन पज्च शिष्टास्तु पाण्डवा:,उस समय पाण्डवोंके पुत्र, मित्र और सैनिक सब मारे गये। केवल मेरे और सात्यकिके साथ पाँचों पाण्डव शेष रह गये हैं
hataputrā hatabalā hatamitrā mayā saha | yuyudhānasahāyena pañca śiṣṭāstu pāṇḍavāḥ ||
അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു; ശക്തി തകർന്നു; സുഹൃത്തുകൾ നശിച്ചു. എനിക്കൊപ്പം, യുയുധാനൻ (സാത്യകി) സഹായിയായി നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ, അഞ്ചു പാണ്ഡവന്മാർ മാത്രമേ ശേഷിച്ചുള്ളൂ.
