नावं न शक्यमारुह्ु स्थले विपरिवर्तितुम्‌ । तथैव रथमारुहा नाप्सु चर्या विधीयते

Transliteration

nāvaṁ na śakyam āruḍhuṁ sthale viparivartitum | tathaiva ratham āruhyā nāpsu caryā vidhīyate |

Translation

വായു പറഞ്ഞു—വള്ളത്തിൽ കയറി കരയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ, രഥത്തിൽ കയറി ജലത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കാനും കഴിയില്ല; അതുപോലെ ജീവികൾ ചെയ്ത വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന കർമ്മങ്ങൾ അവരെ വ്യത്യസ്ത ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളിലേക്കാണ് നയിക്കുന്നത്.
