वायव्यस्तु सदा स्पर्शस्त्वाचा प्रज्ञायते च सः । त्वक्स्थश्वैव सदा वायु: स्पर्शने स विधीयते,वायुका स्वाभाविक गुण स्पर्श है, जिसका त्वचाके द्वारा ज्ञान होता है और त्वचामें स्थित वायुदेव उस स्पर्शका अनुभव करानेमें सहायक होता है

vāyavyas tu sadā sparśas tvacā prajñāyate ca saḥ | tvaksthaś caiva sadā vāyuḥ sparśane sa vidhīyate ||

വായു പറഞ്ഞു—വായുതത്ത്വത്തിന്റെ സ്വാഭാവികഗുണം ‘സ്പർശം’ ആകുന്നു; അത് ത്വക്കാൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ത്വക്കിൽ അധിഷ്ഠിതനായ വായു സ്പർശാനുഭവം സാധ്യമാക്കുന്ന ഉപാധിയായി നിയുക്തൻ.
