इत्युक्त:ः स कुरुश्रेष्ठ गुरुणा गुरुवत्सल: । प्राउजलि: परिपप्रच्छ यत्तच्छूणु महामते,महाबुद्धिमान् कुरुश्रेष्ठ अर्जुन! गुरुके द्वारा इस प्रकार कहे जानेपर उस गुरुके प्यारे शिष्यने हाथ जोड़कर जो कुछ पूछा, उसे सुनो

ഗുരു ഇങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, ഗുരുഭക്തനായ കുരുശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ കൈകൂപ്പി വിനയത്തോടെ വീണ്ടും ചോദിച്ചു. ഹേ മഹാമതേ, അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതെന്തെന്നു കേൾക്കുക.
