ब्राह्मण उवाच
This line is a colophon (chapter-ending marker), not a doctrinal statement. Its function is to locate the material within the Mahābhārata’s structure—Aśvamedhika Parva → Anugītā section → Brāhmaṇa-gītās—and to indicate that the twenty-first chapter has concluded.
The narrative pauses to close the chapter formally. Such colophons are editorial/traditional signals used in manuscripts and printed editions (including Gītā Press) to mark boundaries of chapters and sub-sections.
