The verse highlights ethical purification: true meeting and harmony become possible when anger (krodha) and envy (mātsarya) are relinquished, and one becomes free from moral stain (kalmaṣa). It frames reconciliation as a dharmic outcome of inner cleansing.
A group described as the 'foremost of men' assemble and meet one another mutually. The narrator emphasizes that they do so without anger or jealousy, indicating a transformed state—often read in this parva’s context as an otherworldly or post-conflict convergence marked by peace.
