धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

स मां त्वं यदि राजेन्द्र परित्यज्य गमिष्यसि | पृष्ठतस्त्वनुयास्थामि सत्यमात्मानमालभे,राजन्‌! यदि आप मुझे छोड़कर चले जायूँगे तो मैं अपनी सौगन्ध खाकर सत्य कहता हूँ कि मैं भी आपके पीछे-पीछे चल दूँगा

sa māṁ tvaṁ yadi rājendra parityajya gamiṣyasi | pṛṣṭhatas tv anuyāsthāmi satyam ātmānam ālabhe, rājan |

യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു— രാജേന്ദ്രാ! നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ വിട്ട് പോകുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ സാക്ഷിയാക്കി സത്യം പറയുന്നു— ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാലെ തന്നെ വരും.
