Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
देवा ऊचु असुरस्तारको नाम ब्रह्मणो वरदर्पित: । अस्मान् प्रबाधते वीर्याद् वधस्तस्य विधीयताम्
bhīṣma uvāca | devā ūcuḥ: asuras tārako nāma brahmaṇo varadarpitaḥ | asmān prabādhate vīryād vadhastasya vidhīyatām ||
ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ അഗ്നിദേവാ! താരകൻ എന്നൊരു അസുരൻ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ വരദാനത്തിൽ അഹങ്കാരമത്തനായി തന്റെ പരാക്രമബലത്തോടെ ഞങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ അവന്റെ വധത്തിനുള്ള മാർഗം നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ.
