Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तस्माद् ये वै प्रयच्छन्ति सुवर्ण धर्मदर्शिन: । देवतास्ते प्रयच्छन्ति समस्ता इति नः श्रुतम्
tasmād ye vai prayacchanti suvarṇaṃ dharmadarśinaḥ | devatās te prayacchanti samastā iti naḥ śrutam ||
അതുകൊണ്ട് ധർമ്മദർശികളായവർ സ്വർണം ദാനം ചെയ്താൽ, അവർ ഒരുമിച്ച് എല്ലാ ദേവന്മാർക്കും ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നെയെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ പരമ്പരയായി കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സ്വർണദാനം സർവദേവാർപ്പണമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
