Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
आग्नेयस्त्वंगिरा: श्रीमान् कविर्राह्मो महायशा: । भार्गवांगिरसौ लोके लोकसंतानलक्षणौ
āgneyas tv aṅgirāḥ śrīmān kavir brāhmo mahāyaśāḥ | bhārgavāṅgirasau loke lokasantānalakṣaṇau ||
വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദീപ്തിമാനും മഹായശസ്സുമുള്ള അങ്കിരസ് ‘ആഗ്നേയ’ എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായി; മഹാകീർത്തിയുള്ള ഋഷി-കവിയും ‘ബ്രാഹ്മ’ എന്ന പേരിൽ വിഖ്യാതനായി. ഭൃഗുവും അങ്കിരസും—ഈ ഇരുവരും ലോകത്തിൽ വംശപരമ്പരകളുടെ മൂലലക്ഷണങ്ങളായി പറയപ്പെടുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിയാൽ സൃഷ്ടിയെ വിപുലീകരിക്കുന്നവർ.
