Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
उत्पपात तदा वह्नौ ववृधे चादूभुतोपमम् । तेजस्तेजसि संयुक्तमात्मयोनित्वमागतम्
utpapāta tadā vahnau vavṛdhe cādūbhutopamam | tejas tejasi saṃyuktam ātmayonitvam āgatam ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു— അപ്പോൾ ആ തേജസ് അഗ്നിയിൽ പതിച്ച് ഉയർന്നു പൊങ്ങി, അത്ഭുതോപമമായി വർധിച്ചു. അഗ്നിയുടെ തേജസ്സുമായി ചേർന്ന് അത് സ്വയംഭൂ പുരുഷരൂപമായി പ്രകടമാകാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
