Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
रुद्रस्तु तेजो5प्रतिमं धारयामास वै तदा । प्रस्कन्नं तु ततस्तस्मात् किंचित्तत्रापतद् भुवि,रुद्रदेवने उस समय अपने अनुपम तेज (वीर्य) को यद्यपि रोक लिया था; तो भी किंचित् स्खलित होकर वहीं पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ा
rudras tu tejo 'pratimaṃ dhārayāmāsa vai tadā | praskannaṃ tu tatas tasmāt kiñcit tatrāpatad bhuvi ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു— അന്ന് രുദ്രൻ തന്റെ അതുല്യമായ തേജസ് (വീര്യം) സംയമിപ്പിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അതിൽ നിന്നൊരു ചെറുഭാഗം സ്ഖലിച്ച് അവിടെയേ ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണു.
