The verse elevates cows as supremely valuable within dharma: they are portrayed as central to yajña and as beneficent givers of welfare. Ethically, it promotes reverence, protection, and generous support of such life-sustaining beings as a high religious duty.
Vyāsa is instructing the listener about the exceptional status of certain cows, naming them ‘Rohiṇīs’ and asserting their unsurpassed importance—especially in relation to sacrificial rites and the granting of desired goods.
