Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
अश्वमेधसहस्रं च सत्यं च तुलया धृतम् । अश्वमेधसहस्राद्धि सत्यमेव विशिष्यते
aśvamedhasahasraṃ ca satyaṃ ca tulayā dhṛtam | aśvamedhasahasrād dhi satyam eva viśiṣyate ||
തുലാസിന്റെ ഒരു തട്ടിൽ ആയിരം അശ്വമേധയാഗങ്ങളുടെ പുണ്യവും മറ്റെ തട്ടിൽ വെറും സത്യവും വെച്ചാൽ, ആയിരം അശ്വമേധങ്ങളെക്കാൾ സത്യത്തിന്റെ തട്ടാണ് ഭാരമേറിയത്; കാരണം സത്യം തന്നെയാണ് ശ്രേഷ്ഠം.
