गुरुशुश्रूषया शूरा: पितृशुश्रूषयापरे | मातृशुश्रूषया शूरा भैक्ष्यशूरास्तथापरे
bhīṣma uvāca |
guruśuśrūṣayā śūrāḥ pitṛśuśrūṣayāpare |
mātṛśuśrūṣayā śūrā bhaiṣyaśūrās tathāpare ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ചിലർ ഗുരുശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ ശൂരന്മാർ; മറ്റുചിലർ പിതൃസേവയിൽ ശൂരന്മാർ. ചിലർ മാതൃസേവയിൽ ശൂരന്മാർ; മറ്റുചിലർ ഭിക്ഷാവൃത്തിയിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നതിൽ ‘ഭൈക്ഷ്യശൂരന്മാർ’ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
