Gopradāna–Bhūmidāna Guidelines and Recipient Eligibility
अर्ध पापस्य हरति पुरुषस्येह कर्मण: । कृप: प्रवृत्तपानीय: सुप्रवृत्तश्न नित्यश:,जिसके खोदवाये हुए कुएँमें अच्छी तरह पानी निकलकर यहाँ सदा सब लोगोंके उपयोगमें आता है, वह उस मनुष्यके पापकर्मका आधा भाग हर लेता है
ardhaṁ pāpasya harati puruṣasyeha karmaṇaḥ | kṛpaḥ pravṛttapānīyaḥ supravṛttaś ca nityaśaḥ ||
ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ കരുണയോടെ കുഴിപ്പിച്ച കിണറ്റിൽ നിത്യവും സമൃദ്ധമായി വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി ദിവസേന ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉപകാരപ്പെടുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ആ കിണർ ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ പാപകർമ്മത്തിന്റെ പകുതി അകറ്റുന്നു.
