दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

य इदं श्रावयेच्छाद्धे भूमिदानस्य सम्भवम्‌ | न तस्य रक्षसां भागो नासुराणां भवत्युत,जो पुरुष श्राद्धके समय पृथ्वीदानके इस माहात्म्यको सुनता है, उसके श्राद्धकर्ममें अर्पण किये हुए भाग राक्षस और असुर नहीं लेने पाते

ya idaṁ śrāvayec chrāddhe bhūmidānasya sambhavam | na tasya rakṣasāṁ bhāgo nāsurāṇāṁ bhavaty uta ||

ശ്രാദ്ധകാലത്ത് ഭൂമിദാനത്തിന്റെ ഈ സംഭവ-മാഹാത്മ്യം ആരെങ്കിലും ശ്രാവ്യമാക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവന്റെ അർപ്പിത ഭാഗം രാക്ഷസർക്കോ അസുരർക്കോ ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.
