दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

तस्य राज्ञ: शुभै राज्यै: कर्मभिननिर्वृता नरा: । योगक्षेमेण वृष्टया च विवर्धन्ते स्वकर्मभि:,उस राजाके शुभ राज्य और शुभ कर्मोसे प्रजावर्गके लोग संतुष्ट रहते हैं। उस राज्यमें सबके योगक्षेमका निर्वाह होता है, समयपर वर्षा होती है और प्रजा अपने शुभ कर्मोसे समृद्धिशालिनी होती है

tasya rājñaḥ śubhaiḥ rājyaiḥ karmabhiś ca nirvṛtā narāḥ | yogakṣemeṇa vṛṣṭyā ca vivardhante svakarmabhiḥ ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ രാജാവിന്റെ ശുഭമായ ഭരണക്രമവും ധർമ്മയുക്തമായ പ്രവർത്തികളും മൂലം പ്രജകൾ സന്തുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കും. ആ രാജ്യത്ത് യോഗക്ഷേമം നിലനിൽക്കും, കാലോചിതമായി മഴ പെയ്യും, പ്രജകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ശുഭകർമ്മങ്ങളാൽ സമൃദ്ധരാകും.
