Śulka, Kanyā, and Dauhitra-Riktha: Discourse on Bride-Price and Inheritance Rights (शुल्क-कन्या-दौहित्र-रिक्थविचारः)
तस्य चिन्तयतस्तात वहूव्यो दिननिशा ययु: । इदमासीन्मनसि स रुच्या रक्षणकारितम्
tasya cintayatas tāta bahvyo dina-niśā yayuḥ | idam āsīn manasi sa rucyā rakṣaṇa-kāritam ||
പ്രിയമേ! അവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ പല ദിവസങ്ങളും പല രാത്രികളും കടന്നുപോയി. അപ്പോൾ രുചിയെ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ അവന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ ഒരു ദൃഢനിശ്ചയം ഉദിച്ചു.
