नतासां रक्षणं शक््यं कर्तु पुंसां कथंचन
natāsāṃ rakṣaṇaṃ śakyaṃ kartuṃ puṃsāṃ kathaṃcana
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ശരണാഗതരായി പൂർണ്ണമായി മറ്റൊരാളുടെ പരിചരണത്തിൽ ആശ്രിതരായവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുക മനുഷ്യർക്കു യാതൊരു വിധത്തിലും ഉറപ്പായി സാധ്യമല്ല; അതിനാൽ അഹങ്കാരമല്ല, വിനയം, ജാഗ്രത, ഉത്തരവാദിത്വബോധം എന്നിവയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കണം।
