अन्तर्धानं गता: सर्वे सर्वेषामेव पश्यताम्‌ । तदनन्तर वे महर्षिगण भीष्मजी और पाण्डवोंकी अनुमति लेकर सबके देखते-देखते ही वहाँसे अदृश्य हो गये

antardhānaṃ gatāḥ sarve sarveṣām eva paśyatām | tadanantaraṃ vai maharṣigaṇā bhīṣmajī-pāṇḍavayoḥ anumatiṃ gṛhītvā sarveṣāṃ paśyatāṃ paśyatāṃ tatraiva adṛśyā abhavan ||

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എല്ലാവരും നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ അവർ എല്ലാവരും അന്തർധാനം പ്രാപിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ഭീഷ്മന്റെയും പാണ്ഡവരുടെയും അനുമതി വാങ്ങി മഹർഷിമാർ അവിടെയേ, എല്ലാവരുടെ കണ്ണുമുന്നിൽ, അദൃശ്യമാവുകയും ചെയ്തു.
