Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
राजन! जो गाते-बजाते, नाचते, खेल-कूदकर तमाशा दिखाते, व्यर्थकी बातें बनाते और पहलवानी करते हैं, वे भी निमन्त्रण पानेके अधिकारी नहीं हैं ।।
rājan! hotāro vṛṣalānāṃ ca vṛṣalādhyāpakās tathā | tathā vṛṣalaśiṣyāś ca rājan nārhanti ketanam ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! ശൂദ്രർക്കായി യജ്ഞം നടത്തിക്കുന്ന ഹോതാക്കൾ, അവരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവർ, കൂടാതെ അവരുടെ ശിഷ്യരായി നിന്ന് അവരിൽ നിന്ന് വിദ്യ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവർ—ഇവർ ശ്രാദ്ധാദി കർമങ്ങളിൽ ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെടാൻ യോഗ്യരല്ല।
