Aṣṭāvakra’s Visit to Kubera: Hospitality, Temptation, and the Ethics of Restraint (अष्टावक्र-वैश्रवणोपाख्यानम्)

त्रैलोक्यस्याधिपत्यं वा तुष्टो रुद्र: प्रयच्छति । “भगवान्‌ रुद्र संतुष्ट हो जायँ तो वे ब्रह्मपद, विष्णुपद, देवताओंसहित देवेन्द्रपद अथवा तीनों लोकोंका आधिपत्य प्रदान कर सकते हैं

trailokyasyādhipatyaṃ vā tuṣṭo rudraḥ prayacchati |

വായു പറഞ്ഞു— “രുദ്രൻ പ്രസന്നനായാൽ ത്രൈലോക്യാധിപത്യവും ദാനം ചെയ്യാം. ഭഗവാൻ രുദ്രൻ തൃപ്തനായാൽ ബ്രഹ്മപദം, വിഷ്ണുപദം, ദേവന്മാരോടുകൂടിയ ദേവേന്ദ്രപദം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മൂന്നു ലോകങ്ങളിലെ അധിപത്യം വരെ നൽകാൻ കഴിയും.”
