सह तैर्मुनिभि: सर्वैस्तदा व्यासादिभिनन॑प । नरेश्वर! इस प्रकार सबके देखते-देखते भीष्मजीका शरीर क्षणभरमें बाणोंसे रहित हो गया। यह देखकर व्यास आदि समस्त मुनियोंसहित भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण आदिको बड़ा विस्मय हुआ
saha tair munibhiḥ sarvais tadā vyāsādibhir nṛpa | nareśvara, itthaṁ sarveṣāṁ paśyatāṁ bhīṣmasya śarīraṁ kṣaṇamātreṇa bāṇair vinirmuktaṁ babhūva | tad dṛṣṭvā vyāsādi-samastaiḥ munibhiḥ saha bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇa-ādayaś ca mahad vismayaṁ jagmuḥ |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! അപ്പോൾ വ്യാസാദി എല്ലാ മുനിമാരോടും കൂടി, എല്ലാവരും നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ, ഭീഷ്മന്റെ ശരീരം ഒരു ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അമ്പുകളിൽ നിന്ന് വിമുക്തമായി. അത് കണ്ടു ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനും വ്യാസമുഖ മുനിഗണങ്ങളും മഹാവിസ്മയത്തിലായി।
