चित्रभानुमनड्वाहं देवं गोष्ठं चतुष्पथम् । ब्राह्मणं धार्मिकं वृद्ध ये कुर्वन्ति प्रदक्षिणम्
citrabhānum anaḍvāhaṃ devaṃ goṣṭhaṃ catuṣpatham | brāhmaṇaṃ dhārmikaṃ vṛddhaṃ ye kurvanti pradakṣiṇam ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അഗ്നി (ചിത്രഭാനു), കാള, ദേവന്മാർ, ഗോശാല, ചതുഷ്പഥം, ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ, ധാർമ്മികൻ, വൃദ്ധൻ—ഇവരെ ആദരത്തോടെ പ്രദക്ഷിണം ചെയ്ത് വലതുവശം പിടിച്ച് നടക്കുന്നവർ പുണ്യശീല സത്പുരുഷരെന്നു കീര്ത്തിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ഇതാണ് വിനയരൂപ ധർമ്മാചാരം.
