अजुन उवाच जीवाम्यहं ब्राह्मणार्थ सर्वथा सततं प्रभो | ब्रह्माण्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्ष प्रणणमामि च नित्यश:
arjuna uvāca jīvāmy ahaṃ brāhmaṇārthaṃ sarvathā satataṃ prabho | brahmaṇyo brāhmaṇebhyaś ca praṇamāmi ca nityaśaḥ ||
അർജുനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പ്രഭോ! ഞാൻ എല്ലാ വിധത്തിലും എപ്പോഴും ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ ഹിതത്തിനായിട്ടാണ് ജീവൻ ധരിക്കുന്നത്. ഞാൻ ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യധർമ്മത്തിൽ ഭക്തനാണ്; നിത്യവും ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു.
